Interview with a 3 year old: Kids say the funniest things....

Sooooo, I just got tagged by Marcia (aka Menopausal Mother... currently 14th FUNNIEST blogger IN. THE. WORLD) Marcia was tagged by Karen over at Baking in a Tornado... who was tagged by The Family Pants..... etcetera... etcetera.....

My challenge should I choose to accept it (which I already did) is to answer a whole host of questions like what used to get thrown down on Facebook, back in the day. I don't recall ever being cool enough to join in the Facebook fun - or maybe I was too cool for School.

I have a FB history that dates back to circa 2007. I remember sitting at my office workstation back in the UK 'chatting' to a uni buddy and her writing LOL... or LMFAO.... or ROFLMFAO before telling me everyone could see our conversation. I must have been writing on her wall or some other FB numpty blunder I'd find my Dad doing.

My Dad wouldn't have been sharing his bedroom exploits of the previous night though  (at least - I'd hope not..... Jeez Josie. Why, oh WHY do you go and put a thing like that in your head?)

Needless to say, I was scared off for a while. I think Facebook was frowned upon during office hours anyway. Surfing for holiday deals and shopping on Amazon.com were still fair game in the office but only because the dinosaurs managers were all doing that.

ANYWAY....

After checking out how the others handled this blog challenge, it only seemed fitting to put my own spin on things too. I decided to delve back and pull EVERY question that Marcia, Karen and Family Pants had on their lists - dropped a few doozies - and landed somewhere around 50. Then, instead of answering them myself, I got big kid to do it.

I know I lost some of you there. It's like watching kids puke or parrots dance or cats opening the door on AFV; you either think it's funny as sh%t or just a big pile of sh$te. Either way I'm pretty sure big kid's answers are far better than anything I could ever come up with.

He's 3 and very worldly, I assure you.

Part 1 of his interview takes place on the potty:

**************************************************

Admittedly, it was the hubs that came up with the idea of asking our S-boy. I wasn't sure if we'd get any material worth blogging about (that presupposes anything I write is worth sharing). I mean, how much can a three year old really understand?

A LOT as it turns out, and what he doesn't understand he makes up for in creativity.

Interviewing big kid was an awesome activity for the whole family. Not only was it a good laugh, but it also provided incredible insight into the brain of my 3 year old. We might do it all over again with L-boy tonight just for sh%ts and giggles. I'm dying to hear what my two year old has to say......

Now it's my turn to tag a blogger or two. Hmmmm, let's see........ don't all put your hands up at once.

Stephanie from Mommy, For Real TAG - you're IT!

Kate from Can I Get Another Bottle of Whine... TAG - you're IT!

Kristi from Finding Ninee TAG - you're IT!

And I'm done.

    1. Haha, Kristi! You can answer all my questions, or some of them, you can even make some up too, it's totally up to you - we're free-balling here! Obviously you don't have to get your kid to do it (if you don't want) ;P meno mama's (see commenter above) post is a good place to start. Good luck!!!

    2. Dude, if I got my kid to do it, it'd be funny for about three questions. So probably not. He struggles a lot with language. So it might look something like: Where were you born? Truck! and so on. I might try it though, just in case I get one that's really perfect and funny. Love how you had your kid do it. AWESOME. Like you...

    1. Hahaha! I just scrolled back up to see if you were pulling my leg ;) Errr, I dunno - I obviously can't count as well as my 2 year old yet. He can make it all the way to 15 without missing one out!!

    2. That would have been really funny if I were pulling your leg, actually. :)

  4. That is the *best* idea for answering blog challenge questions I have ever seen! Waaay more interesting than doing it the regular way. You are to be congratulated for your ingenuity! I will likely be the last person to answer these questions, as I am going out of town this week, and if I bring my computer along my husband will divorce me. (That's a joke. Maybe.) Anyway, I may have to copy your idea and interview my six year old. LOVE your kid.

  5. OMG! That was adorably hilarious! What a cutie! How smart of you to answer the questions through your kids! WOW! I loved it! I was tagged, too. And I must get on it. My kids are too old to give such cute answers, though! Plus, I don't think they'd do it. Teenagers!!!

  6. I have tears coming out of my eyes because I'm laughing so hard. This is SO funny! I love this idea, but I think my boys are too old and my daughter doesn't know enough English yet. Although that might make it good. I love hearing your voice on the video too. I'm going to try this with my daughter. So funny!
